Banner: Red Giant Movies
Production: Udhayanidhi Stalin

Star-casts: Udhayanidhi Stalin, Hansika MotwaniSanthanam,Saranya Ponvannan and others
Music: Harris Jayaraj
Working with Harris Jayaraj has been Rajesh’s long run dream and finally they come together with Oru Kal Oru Kannadi. The film is nowhere different from the director’s previous comedy entertainers Siva Manasula Sakthi & Boss Engira Baskaran.

Here comes the third on the row ‘Oru Kal Oru Kannadi’ that has already won the best praises from everyone with its humorous trailer. Harris Jayaraj has given in the songs suiting to the nature of movie. The treatment is good and mediocre in places as well.
1. Adada Oru – Vocals: Karthik
The song has a base from Harris’ yesteryear song ‘Silu Siluvena’ (Kovil) as you can easily sense it in many parts. However, the music director manages to trivialize these replications with the rendition of Karthik, which is colossal in his unique way. The guitars and other instrumentals in accompaniment make it sound good.
2. Akila Akila – Vocals: Aalaap Raju, Chinmayee, Sharmila
Hasili Fisili from Aadhavan and the fast-paced remix style of Vizhi Moodi Yosithal (Ayan). Hear the song couple of times and these tunes will flow through the senses. Aalaap Raju, Chinmayee and Sharmila have intonated with the right feel what’s more necessary for the song.

3. Azhage Azhage – Vocals: Mukesh, Sri Madhumitha
The song has an appealing factor with the singers and instrumentalists unleashing their potentials. Mukesh is the showstopper here and Sri Madhumitha adds up emblazoning attribute to the track.
The visuals by Balasubramaniam should be adding more intensity to the song through the visuals.
4. Kadhal Oru Butterfly – Vocals: Aalaap Raju, Hemachandran, Sunitha Saarathy
Fall in love at first sight. Maybe, it’s just for the protagonist, but the listeners of this song as well. Aalaap Raju has already streaked success with Harris Jayaraj in couple of chartbusters ‘Ennamo Yedho’ and ‘Engeyum Kadhal’. It’s a hat-trick spell from the duo combo.

Hemachandran and Sunitha Saarathy deliver a flawless performance. The rhythmic strokes in guitars and melodious treatment make the song more attractive.
5. Venam Macha – Vocals: Naresh Iyer, Velmurugan
Finally, to end the album with – you have an ultimate Kuthu treat from Harris Jayaraj. Last time, we heard a song on this genre was ‘Ava Enna’ from Vaaranam Aayiram. The beats and style of rendition are the same.

To avoid the similarities, Harris has opted for a new bunch of singers. Naresh Iyer comes up with the rendition of pathos style and Velmurugan as usual is tremendous with his vocalism.
On the whole, Oru Kal Oru Kannadi has a mixed bag of songs with the couple of songs ‘Kadhal Oru Butterfly’ and ‘Venam Macha’ are sure to rock in audio charts.
